About

Our website, www.needlestackjobs.com, is an idea whose time has come.

We all need more time because life is complex: family, meaningful work, personal time, volunteer activities, keeping healthy, contributing to our communities. Needlestack Jobs (NSJ) by offering professional, flextime jobs allows us to perform purposeful work as well as participate in the other important facets of our lives.

The US economy now runs 24 x 7 and staffing is required for all those hours. Additionally demographics in the next few years show a decrease in working Americans. So professional, flextime working arrangements will soon be a required part of the US economy.

Working parents have many responsibilities with very few support groups to help; NSJ can help them find the flexible schedule they seek.

Some Mothers would like to return to the job market but cannot locate a job that uses their hard earned skills; NSJ can locate that job for them.

Caregivers of all kinds who need flexible hours can utilize NSJ to find a job that meets their working requirements.

And Baby Boomers (my group) often do not want to retire or cannot afford to retire completely and would prefer to work fewer hours each week; NSJ can connect these folks and their valuable experience with just the right employer.

For all these reasons, Kathleen and I have started NSJ and we hope that this idea appeals to you.

We are beginning in our home state of Ohio; NSJ will expand to other states as we gain traction. If you are outside of Ohio, please check back with us frequently, visit our News and Resources Center, and contribute to our Blog.

Please contact Kathleen kwiant@needlestackjobs.com or me cclark@needlestackjobs.com directly if you wish. We do want to hear your opinions.

About the Founders

Kathleen Wiant – Co-Founder

Kathleen Wiant Needlestack Flextime Jobs
Kathleen has spent most of her professional life balancing work and motherhood. A mother of five children, she has been a stay-at-home Mom, worked part time and worked full time. She believes the optimum balance is achieved when she is able to spend ample time enjoying and raising her children while still pursuing a professional career.

Kathleen majored in Marketing in the College of Business at Ohio University. Her career began in sales and training in the information technology industry. She has an extensive background selling to information technology departments of companies in the United States and has worked for companies such as AT&T, CompuServe and DPEC, Inc. (now MindLeaders, Inc.)

It was at DPEC, Inc. that Kathleen met Carol Clark, then President and CEO of the company. Kathleen had just had her 2nd child and wanted to continue in her sales position, but on a part-time basis. Carol agreed to the plan and for Kathleen, it became an opportunity to enjoy the best of both worlds. She realized that others also wanted and would benefit from being able to shape their work hours to fit their needs and the concept for Needlestack Jobs was born. After all, necessity is the mother of invention.

Kathleen resides in Columbus, Ohio with her husband Wade, and their five beautiful children.
